Sometimes, a game is more than just a game. Sometimes the score really just doesn't matter. Sometimes, opponents play for the same team. And just every now and then, the true meaning of sportsmanship comes to the forefront.

On February, 12th 2015, none of it mattered in El Paso, Tx. The only thing that mattered, was making one kid happy.

Mitchell Marcus was the team manager for the Coronado High School boys basketball team in El Paso. During his tenure, Mitchell made it to every practice and every game. Head coach Peter Morales wanted to reward Mitchell for his loyalty, so before the final game of last season, he handed Marcus a jersey. Then an opponent handed Mitchell a whole lot more.

The rest of the story shows the loyalty of a team, and the compassion of an opponent.
