Watch Lots of News Anchors Say Funny Word ‘Haboob’ When Discussing Phoenix Dust Cloud [VIDEO]

The proper meteorological term for the massive dust cloud that engulfed the city of Phoenix, Arizona earlier this week is "haboob."

In Arabic, haboob means an intense dust storm. However, in English, it just sounds dirty.

On 'The Rachel Maddow Show,' Maddow had a little fun with the word, composing a supercut of newscasters and meteorologists saying haboob, and explaining why they were saying haboob.
