Thanksgiving Meal Cost Will Be Up This Year
Three weeks from today American's all over the world will gather around the table with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving dinner is going to cost you a little more this year. Agricultural experts say the cost of a meal for ten adults will run $50.01, which is about $3 more than last year. That price includes turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, rolls, peas, cranberries, a carrot and celery tray, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert.
Some attribute the $3 increase to the improving economy and higher livestock prices. But if you were to take a family of 4 out to a restaurant for a Thanksgiving meal, you would pay just as much if not more once the tax and gratuity are added in. Besides, you cannot go into the kitchen where you ate later on to get a snack.
No matter the increased cost, it will be good to have family around the table to enjoy a meal together.
