Cabbage Patch Dolls are a line of dolls  created by American art student Xavier Roberts in 1978. It was originally called "Little People". The original dolls were all cloth and sold at local craft shows. The doll brand went on to become one of the most popular toy fads of the 1980s and one of the longest-running doll franchises in America.

Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Emo Rubik. Originally called the "Magic Cube", the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp.  As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide, making it the world's top-selling puzzle game.

Monopoly  is an American-originated board game, originally published by Parker Brothers, subtitled "The Fast-Dealing Property Trading Game," the game is named after the economic concept of monopoly — the domination of a market by a single entity. It is produced by the United States game and toy company Hasbro. Players move around the game board buying or trading properties, developing their properties with houses and hotels, and collecting rent from their opponents, the ultimate goal being to drive them into bankruptcy.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or TMNT (for short) are a fictional team of four teenage anthropomorphic turtles, who were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensei in the art of ninjutsu and named after four Renaissance artists. During the peak of its popularity in the late 1980s through early 1990s, the franchise gained considerable worldwide success and fame.

Buzz Lightyear is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. Buzz is a toy space ranger hero according to the movies and action figure in the Toy Story franchise. Along with Woody, he is the favourite toy of Andy. He also appeared in the movie Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins. 

Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by Mattel. Launched in March 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration. Barbie has been an important part of the toy doll market for over fifty years, and has been the subject of numerous controversies and lawsuits, often involving parody of the doll and her lifestyle.

Furby (Furbys or Furbies) are electronic robotic toys resembling a hamster or owl-like creatures which went through a period of being a "must-have" toy following its launch in the holiday season of 1998, with continual sales until 2000. Over 40 million Furbies were sold during the three years of its original production, with 1.8 million sold in 1998, and 14 million in 1999. Its speaking capabilities were translated into 24 languages.
