Further solidifying the city’s reputation as an adult playground, visitors to Las Vegas can now test out heavy machinery such as bulldozers and excavators in a giant “sandbox” located right off the strip.

Move over, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Nelly: the Beastie Boys have also been immortalized as commercially available action figures. And, in a rather superhero-like gesture, Mike “Mike D” Diamond, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Adam “MCA” Yauch are donating the proceeds from sales of their limited-edition figures to charity.

What could be better than working at Legoland? Pulling a Lego prank on your boss, of course. Employees at Legoland California built a full-sized replica of general manager Peter Rochetti’s car out of the colorful blocks. Made out of 201,076 Lego pieces and weighing in at 2,934 pounds, the copy is an almost identical likeness to Rochetti’s Volvo XC60. Watch the caper (and the big cheese’s reaction)

Traffic congestion Southern California? Not for these toy cars. Things move along pretty briskly in this demonstration of California artist Chris Burden‘s “Metropolis II,” an installation that features more than 1,100 Hot Wheels cars and 13 toy trains in perpetual motion. Remember the imaginary bullets and blood that existed in your head when you played with toy guns as a child? Well, a group of French kids have found a way to turn those imaginary thoughts into reality – sort of. In this clever video, footage of children staging an elaborate gun fight in the suburbs is enhanced by nimbly edited cartoon bullets and blood.

OK,  I know it is only April 6th, but think about it,  Christmas commercials will start flooding the airwaves in less than 90 days.  Kids are going to want this and that and the other.
