This upcoming Tuesday (03-07-23) Oklahomans will be heading to the polls to cast their votes on S.Q. 820 which would legalize recreational marijuana in the Sooner State. However, there's a lot more to it than that.

Earlier this week organizers of (SQ-820) began collecting all the required signatures on a petition that would place the state question of legalizing recreational marijuana for adults in the Sooner State on the ballot this November.

Today is the day, happy 420! To celebrate there are several Lawton, Fort Sill restaurants that are doing special offers and discounts today in observance of 420.

Programs like this are going on throughout the country and Oklahoma is FINALLY getting one.

Several illegal medical marijuana farms were raided today by various Oklahoma law enforcement agencies. Were any of them connected to the Chinese or other countries? That's been the rumor for years that immigrants and criminal organizations were using the state's medical marijuana laws to buy up land, set up farms and sell their harvest on the black market illegally. I guess we'll find out soon enough, this bust was just the beginning!

This story is going to get a little complicated, so I will do my best to explain what in the hell is going on. Probably shouldn't have said hell in a story about church.

You've probably heard all the rumors and stories online and elsewhere, well it's true. A petition has been filed by an Oklahoma cannabis advocacy group named ORCA (Oklahoman's for Responsible Cannabis Action) to legalize recreational marijuana for adults 21 and over.

Today's the day (12-04-20) that marijuana could become legal across all 50 states. Congress will be voting on the MORES Act (Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act) that would decriminalize cannabis Nationwide.

Yesterday (09-28-20) the Oklahoma Supreme Court struck down a petition that could have legalized recreational marijuana. The petition if it collected enough signatures would have placed State Question 813 on the November 8th 2022 ballot. With a majority vote State Question 813 would have legalized recreational marijuana in the state for anyone 18 years of age or older. It would have also imposed a 25% tax on all sales.
