Today the world lost a true when Andy Griffith passed away at the age of 86. Of course everyone remembers him from the Andy Griffith show from 1960 -1968 and the show Madlock that ran from 1986-1995 where he played an investigator, but do you know what Andy did before getting his big break on those shows. Before Griffith got into television and movies, he was a  monologist which is delivering long stories usual in a comedic way. A monologist was basically a stand up comedian before the were known as that, and Griffith was one of the best.

In 1953 Griffith recorded the legendary "What it Was, Was Football" where he describes the game of Football from the perspective of a person that has never seen or been to a football game, it is one of the funniest things you will ever hear.
