Tony, Tony, Come Around
Isn't it amazing how things from your childhood keep coming back to you? My husband says I remember some of the weirdest things like little songs we learned in Girl Scouts, etc. Well, Saturday morning I was getting ready for a day of shopping with a friend. I always keep my rings near my bathroom sink and after putting lotion on my hands I reached for my rings to put them on. NOT THERE! WHAT? Where could I have possibly put them? I ALWAYS put them in the same place! I panicked. I tore my house apart looking for my wedding rings. They were no where to be found.
I left for my shopping trip and sent a text to Jeri. I knew she was going to be coming into the office, would she take a look? She texted back later that day that they were not in my office and they were not in the studio!
I received a message from a friend to repeat this little rhyme
Tony, Tony, come around. There's something lost that must be found!
It sounded familiar but I couldn't remember why. Then an old school friend of mine reminded me that it was a prayer the nuns taught us during Catholic school. St. Anthony - The patron saint of lost things!
So, who was Saint Anthony I wondered and how does someone become the "Patron Saint of Lost Things". I am sure I was taught this during my time at St. Mary's Catholic School so I did some digging and found a great article on the web CLICK HERE to read more!
The most amazing part? Read how you are supposed to thank Saint Anthony for helping you.
So now I will never forget! Tony, Tony, come around, there's something lost that must be found!
