I did some research to find out when this #30DaysofThanksgiving started on Facebook and the best I can tell is it has been going on since 2009. Was there even a Facebook back then?

The idea is to give thanks for something in your life every day of November. I tried to do it last year and I think I got into the 4th or 5th day and then forgot. Of course we are all thankful for about the same things...family, faith, health, a good job, friends... I am on Day 5 and decided to try and say something nice about everyone that is close to me in my life. Day 1 was of course dedicated to my husband David since the 1st of November is our anniversary and he is the thing in my life I am most thankful for. Day 2 was my job and then I started on my siblings. The one thing it has done for me is to make me mindful of those things that make each one of my family members unique. It's hard to come up with the right words to describe each of them. How I feel about them in my heart. Of course, we should tell them that we love them every chance we get but it is more difficult to describe what we admire most about them. Try it, it's not that easy.

Are you doing the 30 Days of Thanksgiving challenge on Facebook? If so, don't forget to use the hashtag #30DaysofThanksgiving so that others can see what you are thankful for as well.
