Men and women fight about expenses all the time. Women think men spend too much time drinking beer and watching sports, and men think women buy too many unnecessary shoes. However, has anyone ever sued their ex for having too many shoes? Daniel Shak did.

The New York Post reports that Beth Shak is being sued by her ex-husband. The claim? Failure to report her 1,200 pairs of designer shoes during their divorce proceedings, including 700 pairs of Christian Louboutins – at least $900 a pair.

Shak asserts that he never knew about all her pricey heels and that she hid the collection from him in a “secret room.” Any sane woman knows that hiding 1,200 pairs of shoes in a New York City apartment (even on Fifth Ave) is nearly impossible – let’s hope the Judge is a female!

“I’m shaking my head over this whole thing. He is saying he didn’t know the closet in our master bedroom existed,” Beth told the New York Post. As if that isn’t bad enough, her ex-husband is demanding 35% of her estimated $1 million shoe assortment!

A shoe assortment that Beth is very proud of and would have never been secretive about – her collection was featured on the Today Show last year, as well as MTV Cribs before that.  Apparently it took national media attention for her ex-husband even realize there were shoes in their apartment the whole time.
Ladies, continue to buy those fabulous shoes, apparently it’s a great investment!

Do you agree with him suing her over her shoes? What is something else you would sue your ex over?
