Another week is in the major league baseball books and Jace Peterson of the Atlanta Braves takes home the hardware for our week 8 Play of the week. The rookie second baseman made an incredible catch, over the should diving away from home plate to take a hit away from Adrian Gonzalez and save a run for the Braves as they took on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Peterson will now advance to our season ending Play of the Year, taking on the Houston Astros infield, two-time winner Nolan Arenado of the Colorado Rockies and other Major League Diamond gems.

Each week, we are going to be giving you the "best of the best" and giving you the opportunity to vote on our "Play of the Week." At the end of the major league season, we will compile our list of winners, and vote on the "Play of the Season."

Enjoy this week's flashes of leather and vote for your favorite! And don't forget to vote for your favorite players for this year's Major League All-Star Game, to be played July 14th at The Great American Ballpark in Cincinatti.
