Dallas Cowboys To Open 2012 Season Against Super Bowl Champs Giants

The rest of the 2012 NFL season will be released in the coming weeks, but today the league's office said that the Dallas Cowboys and the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants will play in the NFL Kickoff game. The 2012 NFL season will officially start on Sept. 5th, at 8:30 p.m. EST at MetLife Stadium.

Now I know you are sitting there saying the NFL only plays on Mondays , Thursdays and Sundays Steve 'what's up with the Wednesday night game?' Well it's quite simple! The NFL moved the game to Wednesday instead of the traditional Thursday night kickoff in order to avoid a conflict with the Democratic National Convention and President Obama's speech.
