Come Celebrate the Armed Forces Day 50th Anniversary in Lawton
Come see the strength of our community as we celebrate our military with one of the largest Armed Forces Day parades in the nation. The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce will host the Armed Forces Day Parade on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m.
Immediately following the parade, join us in Elmer Thomas Park as we celebrate with fun, music, children’s activities and a car show. Stay for the “Movie in the Park” beginning at 8:45 p.m.
The parade steps off 6th Street and C Avenue north to 11th Street; right unto Gore Boulevard; to Fort Sill Boulevard; turns east on Ferris Avenue to 4th Street and ends in Elmer Thomas Park. We invite you to line the streets of Lawton and join in the celebration of our men and women in the armed services. The parade will feature 800 marching soldiers, artillery vehicles, bands, floats, unicycles, antique cars and Fort Sill’s historic Half Section. Celebrate Armed Forces Day and show your support of our fort.
