Beer makes you fat and unhealthy. That’s a common conception of the golden drops of hoppy goodness. However, a new research indicates that this is not actually the case - good health just might be hidden at the bottom of a beer glass. Contrary to the common view, beer has lots of health benefits that make it at least as healthy as wine when it’s consumed in small amounts. Moderate consumption can mean as much as three glasses a day, when paired with a healthy diet.

Help Raise Money for March of Dimes This Weekend [PHOTOS]

New Study Says Heart Attacks are More Difficult to Detect in Women

My Mother was 56 years old when she had her heart attack. I called her and asked her if she remembered what it was like. She told me "I remember feeling scared. I could see my heart jumping in my chest. I didn't know what to do and I tried to get in touch with your Dad but couldn't reach him. Remember, we didn't have 911 back in 1986."

Dining in the Dark With the Lawton Patriot Lions Club

The room is dark, tables are set, I can feel the plates under my fingers when I trace my hand, the smell of delicious food makes my mouth water, but the only way to know what I am eating is through tasting it because I am blindfolded. Dining in the Dark, scheduled for February 25th, 2012, presented by Lawton Patriot Lions Club and Cameron Campus Ministry, is a benefit event to help raise money for the Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank.
