The MacArthur Highlanders were certainly riding high after coming off their biggest and impressive win of the season last week; with a 2 point victory over their city rival the Lawton High Wolverines.

They didn't have much time to revel in the victory because week 3 featured another showdown with yet another crosstown rival this time from with the Eisenhower Eagles, who were coming off with a impressive start of their own.

Both teams were flying high as they entered the game last Friday night with high expectations. After Ike went 3 and out to start the game, Big Mac wasted no time and picked up where they left off flying on all cylinders. With a 5 play drive which ended in the end zone and a quick 6- nothing lead. The Highlanders would build a 20-0 lead before Eisenhower would find their first score on the board.

The boys out east never looked back with their quest for a "City Championship" and the right to take the General's trophy, a traveling trophy, back to the east side. Final score Mac-55 Ike-29.

The pleasant surprise of the night belonged to Teddrick "Teddy" Thomas, a sophomore running back who came in for a injured Davon Finkley, who went out later part of the first quarter and carried the ball 41 times for 197 yards lead behind one the best offensive lines Big Mac has ever seen.

The Highlanders are now 3-0 and City Champs and look to start district play against NW Classen Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
