I love radio, but I love it because it keeps me connected to people. I've done almost every job in the business and now I have the honor of working at this station! I am married to a wonderful (now) retired MSgt in the Air Force. The Darin makes regular appearances on my show, but he usually refuses to talk, so I have to tell all his stories for him. Dillon is my stepson and his stories are also familiar to those that listen regularly. Dillon could be the next me. He LOVES being on the radio. Most days, I work from home and do my show with a portable studio that was built for me since I am now semi-retired (at the ripe old age of 34). So, if you hear the dishwasher, the washing machine or the sounds of a 9 year old with his Lego, it's all good!

Here is How You Can Help Kids, Homeless & Elderly this Summer
Summer is a great time for kids who aren't in school . . . unless they are hungry.
Summer is a great time for spending time with your family . . . unless they don't have air conditioning.
Summer is a great time for the community to support the missions and ministries around our area that help out the people in our community that aren't looking forward to another long Lawton Summer.
Sandy Hook: 74 Lessons NOT Learned
December 2012 was a horrible time for Newton Connecticut. It was a horrible time for us all after the school shootings that, once again, brought the spotlight onto violence in our schools. After one teenager killed 26 people (20 of whom were children), there was an epic wave of anger and grief and, we hoped, change.
Empty Nesters For The Summer: 5 Ways to Spend the Time
Like a lot of parents, my sweet husband and I are empty nesters this summer. Dillon (now 12 and full of pre-teen angst) is spending the summer with his mom in San Antonio. He sees her at least twice a year, but sometimes not more than that, so his time with her is much-anticipated and the build-up to the last day with Dillon can sometimes be crazy.

We aren't doing a big family vacation this year. We're staying around the area. We did want to find some things to do that wouldn't take us far from home. Check out these historical landmarks that are a close drive. Some you might never have noticed before. We're doing a history hop next weekend to see how many we can visit in one day! Print this list and let's go exploring!
Forget Kim & Kanye: Here’s MY Celebrity Wedding!
I did a quick internet search for "Kim and Kanye" and it returned over 449 million (MILLION!!) hits. That is more than insane.
So, I decided that MY wedding was just as exciting and important. It wasn't in a castle. It wasn't in a foreign country, but it was FAB...
You Could Be in the New Star Wars Movie
This is every geek's dream -- having an appearance in a Star Wars movie. That is exactly what you could have if you win the Force for Change contest that the movie is using to help support UNICEF.
I Don’t Get It: Sprint’s New Ads with Hampster Baffle Me
I am pretty liberal when it comes to new ideas. I'm a fan of great ad campaigns (I'm in the Biz, after all). But I just don't get the new "Framily" ad campaign from Sprint.
Click It Or Ticket Starts Monday
Click it or Ticket starts Monday and runs through the first of June in Oklahoma. I've always worn my seat belt but got into the habit of ALWAYS wearing it (even in the back seat) after going on and off military bases. Now, everyone belts up in our car or the car doesn't move

Make Your Own Laundry Detergent & Save $300 a Year!
For the last year, we've been making our own laundry detergent. It sounds nuts, but it is so easy and works like a dream. We calculated that our laundry detergent for one year cost $6.55. We've washed over 550 loads for that money. It only takes a little time and the results are just as good as the $15 detergents!

Better Than Rice: How To Save Your Wet Phone
We've seen just about everything from blow dryers to bags of white rice to help dry out a phone that has been dropped into water (toilets seem to attract phones like honey attracts Winnie the Pooh).
I think I have finally found a SENSIBLE and SCIENTIFIC way to keep your phone from frying if you accidentally drop it in water (unless you have that one phone on TV that you can put in water). It all
