Is there anyone that doesn't want to be more likable? Reddit readers were asked this question and here are my favorite answers.

1. Stop taking yourself so seriously - Seriously!

You need to be able to make a joke about yourself, laugh at yourself and laugh at a joke someone else makes about you (as long as it's not intended to be hurtful of course).

2. Ask people questions so they can talk about themselves.

Then just let them talk, it will make you remember them and them you. This builds a rapport quicker. I love finding out about a persons like and dislikes.

3. You don't have to solve everyone's problems.

If someone is telling you a problem, they don't need (or want) you to jump in with an answer to solve it. They probably just needed someone to vent to. Don't give your advice unless they specifically ask you for it.

4. Don't interrupt people.

Especially to "top" one of their stories! Let them tell their story and listen (that whole two ears one mouth thing comes to mind). And there  is no need to compare yourself to that same situation/topic every time!

5. Do favors for people!

Don't wait for them to ask for a favor just do them a little favor and you won't believe this but ask them for a favor once in awhile. It shows that you trust them.
